Seminary Chapel

The chapel had been in the "state-of-repairs" for the past 7 years. It was during the time of Fr. Arwyn that the remodeling and reconstruction of the seminary chapel started. For 4 years the seminarians were not able to use it (2001-2005). (This means that there was a batch that was not able to use the chapel for the whole duration of their seminary life which is very unfortunate.) It was at the start of my term that I was instructed by the Bishop to make it "at least" usable. So at the start of the SY 2005-2006, we held our liturgical activities at the chapel though unfinished. Unfortunately, it was again severely destroyed by the two typhoons that hit Sorsogon last year.

The pictures below show the current state of the chapel. Again the repairs are being done just to make the chapel functional but the completion of the repairs of the chapel will happen maybe later due to lack of funds. The funds that were solicited for the intention of completing the repairs were used instead to restore the destruction brought about by the typhoons (especially the roof).

Rest assured that the Bishop and the current administration are doing something for the completion of the said repairs. Various individuals (including some alumni) have given something for the repairs (and they were properly and duly acknowledged).
